Two people lost their lives while another two sustained injuries after an armed assailant opened fire at them in Manawala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident occurred at Khalid Shaheed Chowk in Manawala. The armed attack on a car left two men inside the car dead instantly and two critically wounded. 

Rescue officials rushed to the crime site upon receiving information and moved the injured to the hospital after providing them with emergency medical assistance. 

The dead bodies of the slain were handed over to the police.

The deceased were identified as Rizwan Baig and Ali Baig while inured as Sajid and Malik Usama. 

Punjab interim IG Kanwar Shahrukh took the notice of the incident and sought the report from the Regional Police office (RPO) Sheikhupura.

He ordered to formation a special team to arrest the accused and also directed police to keep in touch with the families of the victims. 

“The accused will not be spared from law and strict action will be taken against them,” said Punjab IG.
