Punjab police personnel raised a hue and cry against the department for serving them poor food, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a video that goes viral on massive social media platforms, dozens of officials of the Punjab police staying in a hall are chanting in a choir ‘Dal Subha Dal Shaam (pulses in the morning and evening meals).  

A large number of police officials from different districts of Punjab are attached to the long march participants for the provision of foolproof security. They are to stay in hotels and wedding halls at night.

The viral video depicts the poor plight of the security forces. The young staff of the Punjab Police expressed their anger over the poor food and inadequate arrangements.

Millions of rupees were distributed in the name of Long March, but we were given only dal for food, a police official said.

CPO Rawalpindi Syed Shahzad Nadeem taking the notice of the video clip has assigned the SP headquarters to check the quality of food before serving to the staff.
