FIA recovers 20 passports from passenger at Karachi Airport

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted a major operation at Karachi Airport, recovering 20 Pakistani passports from a passenger bound for Iran, officials said Wednesday.

The accused, identified as Riaz Hussain from Sanghar, was travelling on a visit visa when FIA Immigration officials offloaded him for questioning. Authorities also recovered an Iranian visa application form and a fake driving license from him.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Riaz Hussain was involved in sending Pakistani citizens to Iran for large sums of money, reportedly charging Rs250,000 per person.

The accused failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for possessing the recovered passports.

The passenger was handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further legal action, and investigations are ongoing, FIA spokespersons said.
