Government conducts massive phone survey in NA-129 ahead of by-elections

The government carried out a large-scale telephone survey in NA-129 ahead of the upcoming by-elections, contacting over 50,000 residents, sources said Wednesday.

The survey, conducted through a call centre, primarily targeted beneficiaries of government development projects.

Citizens were asked about their opinions on government performance, and many were reportedly encouraged to vote for the ruling party’s candidate.

According to initial statistics, most respondents expressed satisfaction with the government’s development initiatives.

Out of the total calls, around 37,000 citizens did not respond, while more than 2,000 hung up before completing the survey.

The survey also indicated the political leanings of respondents: approximately 9,000 were identified as PML-N supporters, while over 1,000 respondents were from other parties.

Officials said the survey aimed to gauge public opinion on development projects and to understand voter intentions ahead of the NA-129 by-elections.
