Maryam, Safdar reach Lahore after two-day Karachi visit 

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and her husband Safdar Awan reached Lahore on Monday night after attending a public meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement in Karachi. 

The PML-N leaders reached the provincial capital through a PIA flight No PK-306. Earlier, a city court granted a bail to Captain (retd) Safdar Awan, who was arrested on charges of violating the sanctity of the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah. 

The court approved Safdar’s bail against a Rs100,000 surety bond. A case was registered against PML-N leaders including PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz, her husband Capt (R) Safdar Awan and 200 others with the Brigade Police Station for chanting slogans at the Mazar-e-Quaid.
