Quoting police, sources told 24News that those taken into custody were Rasheedan Bibi, her husband Asghar and son Ghulam Abbas.
They further disclosed that Ghulam Abbas, one of the suspects, had sit on the bayonet of a car belonging to the murdered brothers. And when they asked him to get off the bayonet, this infuriated Rasheedan, Abbas’s mother, who called her brothers living in Sharaqpur Shareef to come and teach the three brothers a lesson.
Asghar, Rasheedan’s husband, also sustained injuries in the process.
Police said that raids were continuing to arrest the remaining suspects in the case.
Members of Ali Raza Group gunned down the three brothers – Tahir, Maqsood and Shan.
What was initially an exchange of hot words over a trivial matter soon ended up in the killings of the three brothers.
The attackers sprayed bullets on the victims, who were rushed to Mayo Hospital but they succumbed to their wounds on the way.
Their bodies were kept at a morgue for the postmortem as a heavy contingent of police reached the hospital to avert any violent protest by the slain brothers’ family.
