Former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday that Allah (The Almighty) had sent the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a blessing for the entire humanity, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his message of felicitation on the eve of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), Zardari said that the holy prophet (PBUH) gave to mankind the message of peace, love and tolerance. “We will have to resist that mindset which tries to create a monopoly of few clerics over religion, and due to which innocent people are killed in the name of Jihad,” he underscored.
Former president said that the last prophet had preached his followers to respect people belonging to other religions and faiths. “We will have to tread the path of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” he said, adding Islam teaches us to raise voice against tyranny and injustices.
Felicitating the faithful on the eve of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Tuesday that 12th of Rabiul Awwal is the day when the Muslims renew their pledge to live their lives in accordance with the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“The life of the holy prophet is a role model for us,” he said in his message in connection with the day, which marks the birth of the last prophet.
He asserted that if the Muslims want to follow the teachings of the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in true letter and spirit, they will have to shed their differences and forge unity in their ranks. “And for the entire mankind to achieve salvation, they will also have to take his life as an example,” he stressed.
Bilawal said that the holy prophet had laid the basis of a society in which all people were equal. “We, through our words and deeds, will have to show to the world that we are the true followers of the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” he stressed.
