What can be termed height of foolishness and non-professionalism, police in Naseerabad area of Rawalpindi booked a four-year-old child for attacking a couple with bricks and stones, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Ahmad, the child, was produced in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Sohail Anjum for bail on Wednesday, which stunned everybody present there.    

What was more startling was that section of the PPC, which was inserted in the FIR registered against the little one on the complaint of Ghulam Mustafa, a citizen, carries 10-year imprisonment.    

Ahmad’s lawyer told the court that the police had registered the case without any consideration for the boy’s age. “Therefore, it is prayed to the court to order action against the SHO as well as the investigation officer (IO) of Naseerabad police station,” he said.
