The monstrous monsoon and subsequent catastrophic floods have severely impacted the rose flowers cultivation in Hyderabad and the nearby districts; subsequently soaring the price of rose petals from Rs60 per kilogram to Rs200 in the wholesale market, reports 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The heavy rains had badly damaged the rose flowers crop, which caused the spike in prices of garlands, flowers and petals.

In the wholesale market, flowers that once cost Rs60 per kg are now sold at Rs200.

Similar to that, the floral necklace started off selling at Rs50 per piece but is now being sold at Rs100.
