PCB chairman promises full support for tennis promotion in Pakistan
The President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, called on the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, in Islamabad, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
During the meeting, Aisam-ul-Haq praised Mohsin Naqvi for taking a principled stance during the Asia Cup, acknowledging his firm leadership in upholding Pakistan’s interests on the international cricketing stage.
The PTF President also expressed gratitude to the PCB Chairman for swiftly addressing the issues related to tennis courts in Islamabad.
He noted that prompt action had positively impacted the sport and encouraged further development.
In response, Mohsin Naqvi assured full support to the Tennis Federation for the promotion of the sport across the country. He confirmed that work on new tennis courts in Islamabad has already commenced.
Naqvi emphasised the importance of nurturing tennis talent in Pakistan, stating that the PCB is ready to assist the Tennis Federation in its developmental efforts.
He further said that whether it's cricket, tennis, or any other sport, games have the power to connect hearts and unite nations.
