Edhi Foundation reunites girl with family after 21 years

The efforts made by the Edhi Foundation and the Punjab Police finally bore fruits on Sunday as a girl named Ishrat, belonging to Gujranwala, was reunited with her family after 21 years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Ishrat broke down while hugging her sister.

Ishrat stayed at Edhi Home in Lahore for 21 years where she received education.

In order to trace the girl’s family, Edhi Foundation had pasted her pictures at its different centers.

When Ishrat’s elder sister saw her pictures, she recognized her, and approached Edhi Home after arranging all the required documents.

The documents were scrutinized following which the family was invited to the center where the reunion took place.

Ishrat and her family thanked Faisal Edhi and his wife for his efforts, which resulted in the reunion.

Ishrat said that she spent 21 years of her life at Edhi Home where she received education and remained safe.
