Foreign women motorcyclists discover peace and beauty in Pakistan

More than a dozen foreign women motorcyclists from various countries arrived in Timergara, Lower Dir, as part of their cultural and adventure tour across Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV on Sunday.
The women bikers hail from Canada, New Zealand, France, and Scotland. Speaking to the media in Timergara, the female tourists shared details of their journey that began two weeks ago from Islamabad.
Their route included Bisham, the Karakoram Highway, the China border, Gilgit, Shandur, Chitral, and the Kalash Valley, before reaching Dir and finally Timergara.
The foreign tourists said that there had been a perception abroad that Pakistan was unsafe for international travellers, especially women.
“However,” one of the cyclists stated, “after visiting Pakistan ourselves, we have found the country to be peaceful, welcoming, and entirely safe.”
They added that Pakistan is a stunningly beautiful country, rich in culture and traditions, and home to some of the most hospitable people they’ve ever met.
“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and were amazed by the natural beauty and warmth of the people,” one tourist remarked.
The group encouraged other foreigners, particularly women, to visit Pakistan without fear, assuring that the reality on the ground is very different from the negative image often portrayed in foreign media.
