PCB removes Usman Wahla from Director of International Cricket role
Misbah-ul-Haq likely to take over as successor
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has removed senior official Usman Wahla from his position as Director of International Cricket, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to PCB sources, Wahla is expected to be shifted to a key role within the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
His removal reportedly follows concerns over his handling of administrative matters during the recent Asia Cup.
Sources said Wahla was suspended earlier due to alleged mismanagement during the Asia Cup, prompting the board to advertise the post of Director of International Cricket for fresh recruitment.
There are strong indications that former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq is among the leading candidates being considered for the slot.
