All set to launch Orange Line Metro Train, says Asim Bajwa

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting and CPECA Chairman Asim Saleem Bajwa sharing an update about the billion-dollar Lahore’s Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) said the Orange Train is on the way for launch soon as teething issues has been resolved and the fare has also been decided, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Asim Saleem Bajwa said trial runs are underway and operations and maintenance (O&M) award has been given also and the hiring is in progress.
The Punjab cabinet on Monday approved Rs40 fare for the yet-to-be-inaugurated Orange Line Metro Train, after the chief minister rejected a transport department proposal for fixing the ticket price at Rs50. The Punjab cabinet’s 35th meeting at the chief minister’s secretariat, chaired by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took this decision.
