Former prime minister and PML-N Patron Nawaz Sharif on Friday talked to JUI-F President Fazlur Rehman over the phone. 

According to sources, the two leaders discussed the prevailing political situation in the country. Fazl’s reservations were addressed during the phone call and he agreed to attend the All Parties Conference (APC) of the opposition parties on September 20. 

Also, there are reports that Sharif discussed with Fazl his proposed participation in the APC through the video link. Fazl endorsed Sharif’s plan to address the APC through video link and urged him to play an active role in the anti-government movement. Keeping in view the contact between Sharif and Fazl, opposition parties are expected to take tough decisions vis-à-vis the anti-government campaign.
