Wazirabad school sealed after 12 Covid-19 cases reported

A public high school in Wazirabad has been sealed as 12 COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the institution, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The Wazirabad Education Officer said educational activities have been stopped now at the school after cases were reported. He said all those schools will be stopped from continuing their classes where two or more than two coronavirus cases will be reported.
In Faisalabad, corona tests were conducted on more than 1,500 teachers, out of which no positive case was reported, the TV channel reported. The district health department has started sampling students in 18 schools of Faisalabad and so far more than 200 samples of children have been taken. Faisalabad Education Department officials say coronavirus sampling of students will continue in phases.
Separately, Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Muhammad Asghar Joya paid a surprise visit to various government schools to review the SOPs to counter coronavirus.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a lecture to the students and directed them to ensure the implementation of SOPs to win the war against COVID-19.
