The Islamabad High Court has extended its earlier order regarding suspension of former NAB chief’s removal order from the post of chairman missing persons’ commission after accepting the plea of Public Accounts Committee lawyer seeking more time in Tayyaba Gull harassment case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Islamabad High Court Justice Amir Farooq on Monday heard the petition challenging the recommendation of the PAC regarding removal of former NAB chief Justice ® Javed Iqbal from his position as chairman of missing persons’ commission.
During the hearing, the PAC lawyer requested the court to give him more time for arguments on the case.
On this, Justice Farooq remarked “don’t take this case lightly. The court has already granted you enough time, we can’t give you more time,” the judge told the lawyer saying that it was a simple case of whether the PAC does have the jurisdiction to issue the order or not.
With this, the judge adjourned the hearing of the case till tomorrow while extending court’s earlier order regarding suspension of ex-Nab chief’s removal from the chairmanship of missing persons’ commission.
