Money laundering case hearing against Shehbaz, Hamza put off till Sept 30

A local court has adjourned the hearing of FIA’s money laundering case involving Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz till Sept 30, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Special Central Court Judge Ijaz Hassan Awan on Monday heard the petition filed by PM Shehbaz and his son Hamza seeking their acquittal in the money laundering case.
The judge also accepted the request of the duo seeking exemption from court appearance.
Lawyer Amjad Pervaiz presented arguments on behalf of Shehbaz and Hamza. He said that indictment could not be made in this case as there was no substantial proof against his clients.
He said that it was a case of acquittal on which he would present his arguments in the next hearing.
The petitioners said that they were nominated in the FIA challan without considering the ground realities beseeching the court to order for their exoneration.
