Pakistan reach SAFF Under-17 Championship 2025 semi-finals

Pakistan Friday defeated Maldives 5-2 to reach the semi-finals of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

For Pakistan, Mansoor Ahmed scored the first goal in the 12th minute and also scored the second and third goals in the 32nd and 45th minutes respectively, to complete the hat-trick.

Pakistan's fourth and fifth goals were scored by Muhammad Abdullah in the first half's extra time and in the 59th minute.

From the Maldives side, the first goal was scored by Ali Ilaan in the 42nd minute, and the second goal was scored by Mohamed Shayan in the 70th minute.

Earlier, in their opening group match, Pakistan thrashed Bhutan with a score of 4-0.  Muhammad Abdullah scored the first, second and fourth goals in the 15th, 25th and 70th minutes respectively. The third goal was scored by Hamza Yasir in the 67th minute.

Pakistan so far are unbeaten in the SAFF under-17 championship 2025 and will play their last group match against their arch-rivals India on September 22.
