Robber killed in Karachi encounter was involved in youth’s murder

A robber has been killed in an encounter with Liaquatabad Police in Karachi, Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

According to police, the deceased robber was identified as Hamza, son of Jameel.

He was involved in the murder of Shahzad Hussain, a 25-year-old boy and son of Shahid Hussain, who was killed on September 6 during a robbery bid at Sajid LPG Shop in the Sariya Cut area of Gharibabad, Liaquatabad.

A case was registered at Liaquatabad Police Station under FIR No. 522/2026 under Sections 392, 302 and other relevant provisions. Hamza was killed in a police encounter last night, while his accomplice escaped under the cover of darkness. Police identified Hamza through a biometric identification device, while CCTV footage also linked him to the robbery and murder.

Further investigations were underway to identify the accomplice and determine his involvement in other crimes.
