Tigresses roar into PM’s Corona Relief Force

A large number of women have joined the Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Tiger Force being created to fight coronavirus pandemic effectively.

Punjab government's spokesperson Musarrat Jamshed Cheema told 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday that there was no bar on the women to join the force. “The only condition that is being implied is that you must by 18 plus to qualify for its registration. The forms are available online. The force will be accommodated and managed at the union council level.”

Musarrat revealed that so far 115,000 volunteers have joined the force. “All the homework has been completed regarding the functioning and safety of the Tiger Force,” she added.

Registration for PM's Corona Relief Tigers Force was formally opened for youth across the country on Wednesday. In a tweet, Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the youth to join the force.

A control room has been established at the PM's Office, while monitoring team has also been formed to keep a check on the post-corona situation.

Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel, Assistant to PM on Youth Affairs Usman Dar said 90,000 youth had joined the force in first few hours including a large number of women.

After completion of the registration process, the data collection will be completed till April 10 in which details of the deserving families will be collected from across the country.
