Supreme Court rejects CM Murad’s plea for larger bench

Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Tuesday rejected a plea of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah for formation of a larger bench in Shah’s disqualification case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked that forming a larger bench has now become a history.

The top judge, however, said that the apex court could include Justice Yahya Afridi on the bench.

The CJP asked Hamid Khan, lawyer of Murad Ali Shah, to come after the case hearing and discuss with him the formation of a larger bench. 

Later, the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing for an indefinite period.
