Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said on Saturday that Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took a wise decision of contesting the Senate elections as well as the by-polls and with this Pakistan Democratic Movement’s narrative has been defeated, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media men in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has won and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has acknowledged its defeat and now they are just fooling the public. “Bilawal is not following my advice. He is a wise man and played very well so far. Also, Asif Ali Zardari has also played very well and come up with better plans.”

Commenting on the latest PDM huddle at Raiwind, Sheikh Rasheed said, “Dialogues are the beauty of movements and door to dialogues must remain opened.”

He said PDM resignations are completely fake as it was deceiving the nation.

It is pertinent to note that the Interior Minister made the statement at the time when a day earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan had said people will pay no heed to the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) call for a long march and rejected the opposition’s allegation of a puppet premier.

Imran Khan said in an interview that if he was a puppet then why he did not hold talks with them even after the military leadership had asked him to do so in order to end political instability.

Sheikh Rasheed said JUI-F supremo Fazlur Rehman was in trouble. “The PDM is going to protest in front of NAB on January 19, the day when there is a by-election. Why the NAB law has not been amended and reformed in the last ten years. Now the NAB is not going anywhere.”

He warned that the N-League is using non-parliamentary language and they will respond accordingly.

Interior Minister said Mufti Kifayatullah's case has been sent to Kuyper Pakhtunkhwa.

The Interior Minister warned whoever will use language against the army, a case will be registered against him within 72 hours.

The government is going to modernize Islamabad Capital Territory by introducing Modern Eagle Squad and computerized vehicles.

Answering a question, Sheikh Rasheed said two ministers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have already been arrested. He predicted Imran Khan will leave the government but he will not compromise on corruption and will never surrender.

Sharing the latest report about the issuance of visas, Sheikh Rasheed said the visa system has been made online wherein 0.2 million people have already applied online.

He also reiterated that passport of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will not be renewed after it expires on February 16.

The minister also said that government is ready for opposition’s long march and asked Maulana JUI-F chief Fazl-ur-Rehman to show some respect for Islamabad and Islam.

Sheikh Rasheed also informed the media that 300 mobile vans of NADRA will visit areas across Pakistan to facilitate the masses.

“Eagle Squad, equipped with the latest technology, will soon be introduced for the security of Islamabad,” he added.
