Eid celebrations begin

Pakistani people have begun celebrations of Eid-ul-Fitr as the moon of the month of Shawwal has been sighted on Monday, reported 24News HD TV Channel.

As per the official announcement of the federal government, Eid ul Fitr will be observed tomorrow (Monday).

Soon after sighting the Shawwal moon, faithful people ended their sittings of Aitekaf and rejoin their social circles.

While the people in a large number especially females went to the markets and bazaars for a final touch of their Eid shopping.

A rush of buyers was observed in the shopping malls and trade centres and local shops and stalls of dresses, shoes, and cosmetics especially.

A tight schedule of the beauty parlours and saloons is also being observed soon after ending the 30th fasting of the Month of Ramazan.

The mosques have also started announcements of the timing of Eid prayers at the local level by using the loudspeakers or the banners outside.

The Eid prayers in most of the mosques would be offered between 6:30 am to 9:30 am.

Law enforcement agencies have also chalked out the security plans for Chand Raat and Eid Day and also tightened the security in the markets and mosques.
