PM assures cabinet of releasing Saad Rizvi, ending ‘banned’ status of TLP

Imran Khan will address the nation to take into confidence on the country s economic situation tomorrow

Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday assured the cabinet that his government would implement the agreement with the TLP and would release Saad Rizvi and end the ‘banned’ status of his party.

The 24News revealed the inside story of the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday in which PM Imran also assured that all the detained TLP workers were being released.

Talking about the issue of release of TLP Chief Saad Hussain Rizvi, the PM said his government would assist to release Saad Rizvi. 

In the meeting, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi was also given an important task on the matter of the banned TLP and its chief.

This was also decided in the cabinet meeting that Shah Mehmood Qureshi would be the focal person on the matter of TLP and its agreement with the government.

The PM also directed all the ministers and members of the cabinet to consult Shah Mehmood Qureshi on any issue related to the TLP.

The sources said that it was decided in the meeting that PM would take the nation into confidence in the country’s economic situation and hold an address tomorrow. The cabinet also decided to call the National Assembly session on Nov 05.

Separately, the coalition partners of the government called on the PM and Moonis Elahi of Quaid League suggested taking into confidence on the upcoming legislation in the joint sitting of the parliament.

On this occasion, Imran Khan also urged the allies to abide by the government's policy, to which all assured to abide by the government.
