Noted ex-cricketers Sir Vivian Richards and David Gower called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed promoting and strengthening sports in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.

During the meeting, the efforts to tap the talent of youth by providing them with facilities and opportunities. 

The premier said since Pakistan has no dearth of talent, the government was taking steps to provide the young players with facilities.

He said developing playgrounds across the country is afoot so that the youth could be engaged in healthy entertainment.

The visiting dignitaries lauded the Pakistan team for clinching back-to-back victories in the T20 World Cup matches.
