Fire guts over 100 shops in Sahiwal

More than 100 shops were gutted in Sahiwal district as a fire swept through a makeshift market set up during annual Urs celebrations in Kamir village, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Rescue teams reached the site and extinguished the fire which burnt to ashes all the luggage available in the shops. However, no human loss was reported in the fire incident.

It is pertinent to mention that the annual Urs of Baba Muhammad Panah came to an end a few days back. In connection with Urs celebrations, more than 100 make shifts were set up in and around the Darbar.

The cause of the fire incident could not be ascertained till now.
