Auditor General of Pakistan on Wednesday ordered the audit of government funds spent on rain preparations in Karachi. 

According to a document, a special team has been constituted in this regard. The audit team would audit for the year of 2018 and 2019. The team would audit the funds provided to the government departments for rain preparations. 

Audit of Karachi Municipal Corporation, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and three cantonment boards would also be held. The special audit of Solid Waste Management Karachi would be held separately. The capacity of drain system would be reviewed. Audit of resources for garbage lifting, clearance of drains and removal of encroachments along the drains would be held.
