Soldier martyred, five terrorists eliminated in North Waziristan
A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred while five terrorists were eliminated as a check post came under attack in North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.
Three other soldiers were also injured in the terror attack carried out about 10 kilometres west of Miranshah. The troops retaliated and killed five of the attackers.
Later, the security forces cordoned off the area and launch a search operation.
The martyred soldier, Havaldar Akbar Hussain Khan, was 43 and a resident of Dhirkot town located in Bagh district of Azad Kashmir. He is survived by a widow, two sons and two daughters.
