PTI's Leader of the House in the Senate Dr Shahzad Waseem resigned Wednesday from his position, 24NewsHD TV channel reported quoting informed sources.

Dr Shahzad Waseem tendered resignation to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani who reportedly accepted it.

Former prime minister Imran Khan had appointed Dr Shahzad Waseem as Leader of the House in Senate.
