The new government of Shehbaz Sharif in the centre has started consultations to change the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Rameez Raja immediately.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Rameez is determined to continue his work but the government lobby has hinted to change him in the next 48 hours.

The sources said that the name of a new PCB chairman will be announced in the next 24 to 48 hours as some names of former chairmen, senior cricket organizers, and administrators are being considered in this regard.

The sources said that the PCB chairman will initially nominate two representatives to the governing board.
