Police officer dies of heart attack in Islamabad
A Punjab Police officer, who had come to Islamabad on special duty, died of a heart attack on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
DSP Headquarters Toba Tek Singh Aftab Ahmad Siddiqui was shifted to a hospital after he felt pain in his chest.
However, he passed away during treatment.
A week ago, a sub-inspector in the Islamabad police had died of a cardiac arrest while on duty.
According to officials, the officer, identified as Mukhtar Ahmed, was deployed on special duty at Serena Hotel in Islamabad when he suffered a sudden heart attack.
His colleagues at the scene responded immediately, and the officer was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Senior officers were formally informed of the incident.
