Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi left for Beijing Thursday on a two-day official visit to China, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The foreign minister will attend the second round of "Pak-China-Strategic Dialogue" to be held in Beijing. The first round of Pak-China Strategic Dialogue was held in March.

Foreign Secretary Suhail Mehmood accompanied the foreign minister on the two-day visit.

Qureshi will hold meetings with his counterpart Wang Yi and other senior Chinese leaders.

Pakistan and Chinese delegations will also discuss the visit of President Xi Jinping to Pakistan, sources maintained.

Talks will also be held at the level of delegations. The TV channel reported that during the visit, security cooperation will be discussed.

The meeting will also deliberate on the security situation regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Qureshi will be discussing with his Chinese counterpart about the situation in Ladakh and matters pertaining to the regional situation.

Before his departure, Qureshi in a video message said, “Today, I am leaving for China on an important visit. Regarding this visit, I had a detailed discussion with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday. I hope my meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will be useful for both countries.”

“My delegation will represent the political and military mindset,” he further said.
