Former President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Saturday congratulated the People's Unity of PIA for winning the referendum of Pakistan International Airlines, reported 24 News HD TV Channel Saturday.  

Both the leaders in two different statements said PPP is the true representative party of the working classes across the country.

They said that the services of officials and workers of the PPP Labor Bureau for the success of People's Unity are praiseworthy.

PPP Chairman instructed the newly elected CBA President Hidayatullah Khan and other officials to solve the problems of the employees of the organization on a priority basis.

Asif Zardari said Hidayatullah Khan is fighting for the rights of workers.  People's Party is the strength of the workers and the workers are the strength of the People's Party, Asif Ali Zardari added.

Chairman Bhutto further said the PTI-backed group got only 250 votes compared to nearly 2,000 votes of People's Unity, which shows that workers do not accept Imran Khan's narrative.  

They observed that the success of People's Unity in the PIA Referendum is for the workers and people expressed confidence in the People's Party.
