Three terrorists were killed in a gunbattle during an operation carried out by personnel of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Dera Ismail Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The CTD team recovered weapons and explosives from terrorists’ hideout and later shifted their bodies to a hospital.

The shootout took place near Saggu Pull within limits of Daraban Police Station in DI Khan, resulting in death of three terrorists.

According to police, 10 to 12 terrorists were present at the Saggu Pull and were looting the passersby. On getting information, teams of CTD and other law-enforcements agencies dashed to Saggu Pull and challenged the terrorist which led to a firefight.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP Akhtar Hayat Khan commended the operation carried out by the security teams, saying operations against terrorists will continue.
