Naqvi reviews anti-encroachment operation in Saidpur
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Saidpur Model Village and reviewed the ongoing operation against encroachments and illegally constructed buildings, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
During his visit, a comprehensive briefing was given to Mohsin Naqvi in which he was told that an operation is underway on 360 kanals of land against all those illegal buildings that were constructed after 2005.
The Interior Minister was further informed that most of the buildings were retrieved from occupants who were residing without paying rent.
Mohsin Naqvi was told that 200 illegal buildings were destroyed and 191 kanals of land were retrieved from the occupants.
The Interior Minister also examined the upgradation and beautification of the work of Saidpur Village. He directed to continue anti-encroachment and illegal construction operations in all the adjacent areas of Saidpur village.
Mohsin Naqvi said that all those buildings that were recently vacated will be auctioned transparently.
He also lauded the Capital Development Authority (CDA) anti-encroachment and illegal construction buildings.
Mohsin Naqvi said that renowned restaurants from Karachi and Lahore will establish their outlets in Saidpur village.
He said that after the restoration of Saidpur village, Islamabad will become more attractive and beautiful for the citizens.
