PDMA forecasts rain, thunderstorms in various parts of country
Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Tuesday predicted rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms at most places of the country reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the PDMA, Upper Sindh, South Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas are expected to remain partly cloudy with the possibility of rain at a few places with strong winds and thundershowers.
In Islamabad, partly cloudy weather is expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas, with the possibility of rain at a few places with strong winds, and thunderstorms. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, partly cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is expected at isolated places in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, DI Khan, and Waziristan.
In Punjab, the Weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most districts of the province. However, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Lahore, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Kasur, Okara, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Mandi Bahauddin, Bahawalnagar, Bahapur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, D.G. Khan, and surrounding areas.
In Sindh, Intermittent rain with strong winds and thundershowers at many places and heavy rain at places is likely in Mithi, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, Tando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Sanghar, Jamshoro, and Dadu.
Meanwhile, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is likely at a few places in Sukkur, Ghotgi, Naushahro Feroze, Larkana, Khairpur, and Jacobabad.
In Baluchistan, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most districts of the province. However, in the evening/night, partly cloudy weather is expected in Awaran, Kharan, Lasbela, Ormara, Pasni, Gwadar, Kech, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Kalat, Zhob, Barkhan, Sibi, Quetta, and Ziarat, with the possibility of rain at a few places. During this time, heavy rain is also likely at a few places.
In Kashmir, partly cloudy weather is expected with chances of rain at a few places, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, while in Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is likely to remain dry and partly cloudy.
