Karachi witnessed an unusual scene on Tuesday when torrential rain left a private security company’s cash van stranded on Shahrah-e-Faisal, forcing guards to transfer cash manually, 24NewsHD TV reported.
A viral video circulating on social media showed two guards wading through knee-deep water with bags containing millions of rupees slung over their shoulders. At the same time, another armed colleague provided him cover to ensure security during the high-risk transfer.
The unusual sight of guards carrying money bags across one of Karachi’s busiest highways highlighted both the city’s vulnerability to rain and the dedication of the guards in safeguarding the cash despite adverse conditions.
