The Sindh government in a major step has launched the process of recruiting 40,000 teachers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In the preliminary phase, 30,000 teachers will be hired in the School Education Department wherein focusing on early childhood and junior school teachers.

The Sindh government’s decision regarding teachers’ recruitment came after a gap of eight years.

The School Education Department in order to make the recruitment process transparent and on merit has got published advertisements in newspapers regarding the vacancies.

The candidates have been asked to immediately submit their credentials or qualifications for scrutiny after which dates for tests and interviews will be announced.

In the second phase, College Education will hire 10,000 teachers. 

Not a single teacher was recruited in the Education Department after 2012. 

The launching of the process for the recruitment of the teachers came after the approval of the Sindh Cabinet.
