Two drug dealers killed in Lahore police encounters

Two drug-peddlers were gunned down during two police encounters in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The first police encounter took place in the Defence area of Lahore, in which one drug-dealer, Ayaz was killed.

Crime Control Department (CCD) said that they raided a location to apprehend the accused, but after taking notice of the CCD team, some accomplices of the accused opened fire on the CCD team.

During the exchange of fire, Ayaz 23 died. Later, the police shifted the dead body of Ayaz to the local hospital mortuary for autopsy.

In the second police encounter in the Changa area of Lahore, one of the arrested accused Ayaz was killed.

The Crime Control Department team stated that they were taking the arrested accused, Zulfiqar Ali, for recovery. 

On their way, some accomplices of the accused attacked the police team near Sher Shah Police Chowki at Raiwind Road.

During the exchange of fire, the accused Zulfiqar Ali died at the firing of his accomplices. CCD sources said that the accused was involved in some serious criminal cases, including drug-dealing, dacoity, and snatching.

Police shifted the dead body of accused Zulfiqar Ali to the hospital mortuary for a post-mortem.
