Imran praises China’s anti-virus fight in call to President Xi

Prime Minister Imran Khan has commended China for its large-scale measures to fight off coronavirus, saying Beijing will come out stronger from this challenge.
In a telephonic conversation with President Xi Jinping on Thursday, Imran Khan said Pakistan is standing with China and reiterated his offer to send a field hospital and a team of doctors to help in controlling the virus.
Regretting the loss of lives due to the virus epidemic, Imran said the whole world has praised the steps taken by the Chinese government to tackle the disease.
President Xi said the CPEC project will continue and China will take its economic cooperation with Pakistan to new heights. “Friendship between Pakistan and China is long-lasting,” he added.
