Two terrorists were killed and a soldier of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based counterterrorism operation in Malikkhel, North Waziristan, on Friday night.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army, the security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Malikkhel, North Waziristan, late Friday night. During an intense exchange of fire, the ISPR said, terrorist commander Rehmat alias Khalid and his accomplice were killed. During exchange of fire, Havaldar Shehzad Raza embraced martyrdom. 

The ISPR says that terrorist commander Rehmat alias Khalid was an IED expert and had been involved in different terrorist activities against the security forces, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and target killing in the tribal area since 2009. During the search operation, the ISPR said, security forces seized huge caches of weapons.
