PML-N leader Kh Muhammad Asif Sunday took the government to task and said so bad became the circumstances that people were then regretting their decision to vote PTI into power, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the workers’ convention of Shah Syedan and Shahabpura union councils, the PML-N leader said that increase in the use of electricity had fallen from 43 per cent in PML-N’s reign to 5 per cent due to a decline in business activities.
He said that general elections were around the corner and the current year seemed to be the year of election. “Everything will be laid bare within next two or three weeks,” he claimed.
He also maintained that the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan was suffering from instability as the members of his party were in contact with the opposition for his ouster. “Imran Khan stole people’s right to expression and opinion. He will be answerable in the Hereafter too,” he asserted.
“A conspiracy was hatched to oust Mian Nawaz Sharif. It’s only because of our love for Nawaz Sharif that we reached assemblies and never stumbled,” he added.
Voicing his disapproval for Imran Khan’s address in Mandi Bahauddin, the PML-N leader said that the prime minister was so dramatic in his dialogues against the opposition.
Expressing again his respect for Nawaz Sharif, Kh Asif said that if people stood by the PML-N supremo, no one could bar him from coming to power. “People still remember Nawaz Sharif, and he will soon come to Pakistan.”
Kh Asif also accused the Imran-led government of using state institutions for satisfying its ego, adding that journalist Mohsin Baig was made victim of personal revenge.
“No ruler ever received the amount of swears Imran Khan is receiving from the public,” he said, and adding a new law had been enacted to imprison critics of the government for five years which was nothing but a mean tactic to suppress the opposition.
