Nishtar-II notified as constituent hospital of Nishtar Medical University

The Punjab government has officially declared Nishtar-II as a constituent hospital of Nishtar Medical University, elevating its administrative and academic status.

A formal notification in this regard has been issued by the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, confirming that Nishtar-II will now function under the direct control of Nishtar Medical University.

According to the notification, Nishtar-II has also been granted the status of a tertiary care hospital, significantly enhancing its role in providing advanced medical services.

With this development, the hospital has been formally integrated as part of the university’s institutional framework.

Hospital administration officials stated that the move will pave the way for further improvement in healthcare facilities as well as the teaching and training system.

They said that the decision would strengthen both medical education and patient care services, enabling better clinical exposure for students and improved treatment standards for patients.
