January 21, 2022 05:05 AM

Five babies out of sextuplets born in the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar died as the medical centre did not have the ventilator facility that was needed to keep the newborns alive, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, in one of the biggest hospitals of the city – Lady Reading Hospital - the five newborn babies out of six could not survive owing to non-availability of ventilators in the medical facility.

According to the LRH spokesperson, the sextuplets were very weak when they were delivered. The hospital’s medical staff put them on the incubator. But five of the babies could not survive.

The spokesperson admitted that the hospital did not have the neonatal ventilators and the newborns died due to ventilators’ non-availability.
