Punjab announces strict corona restrictions for most affected cities

The Punjab government decided to implement strict Corona sanctions as per the directions of the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) on Thursday in the cities having over 10% positivity ratio including Lahore.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, indoor public gatherings and weddings will be completely banned from January 24 to February 15, 2022. While the outdoor gatherings and weddings will be allowed with 300 vaccinated people.
As per the notification, indoor meals will be completely banned from January 24 while outdoor meals will only be allowed with people who have been fully vaccinated.
Gymnasiums and indoor sports are allowed to be open with 50 per cent fully vaccinated individuals. All cinemas will also be allowed to remain open with 50 per cent fully vaccinated persons.
All the recreational areas and shrines will be open to people with 50 per cent full vaccination.
Educational institutions for children under 12 years of age will remain open with 50 per cent attendance and over the age of 12 will be allowed to remain open with students who are 100 per cent vaccinated.
From tomorrow (Thursday), inter-city and intra-city public transport will be allowed to travel with 70 per cent vaccinated persons and the provision of food on public transport will be completely banned.
Passengers with 80 per cent vaccination will be allowed to travel by rail from January 24.
According to the notification, all restrictions will continue till January 31.
