National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has issued the annual performance report of distribution companies (Discos) revealing a loss of Rs122 billion the national exchequer had to face due to poor show exhibited by some Discos, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The Nepra report regarding Discos reveals that due to distributing and transmitting power exceeding its target by some power distribution companies national kitty had to bear loss of Rs122.6 billion.

However, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan along with K-Electric distribution companies saved an amount of Rs 2.15 billion for the national exchequer. K-Electric, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Multan exhibited better performance than the target set for them, said the report.
