First Chief Justice of IHC Sardar Aslam passes away due to coronavirus

First Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Sardar Muhammad Aslam passed away Monday due to novel coronavirus.
He was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for the virus.
The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered at his native village Bhanati of Tehsil Kahuta, District Rawalpindi.
Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam was the first Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court and an eminent lawyer and was highly respectable among the legal fraternity.

He took PCO 2007 oath as sitting Justice of Lahore High Court on 4 November 2007. He served as Islamabad High Court CJ from 9 February 2008 and on 7 March 2009 and elevated to Supreme Court of Pakistan.
