It was disclosed that over 0.5 million people were being administered the vaccine every day.
The meeting also discussed the pace at which the pandemic is spreading in the country, especially in Karachi and Gilgit Baltistan, besides implementation on the standard operating procedures (SOPs), particularly in view of approaching religious festival of Eidul Azha.
The NCOC was told that 500 oxygen cylinders and 30 ventilators had been procured to deal with the Covid-19 cases in Gilgit Baltistan.
It was informed that the government was trying to reach out to maximum number of people in order to administer vaccine to them.
The meeting was told that vaccine in sufficient quantities had been provided to the centers for the people intending to travel to foreign countries.
Participants agreed that implementation on the SOPs as well as the instructions issued by the NCOC ahead of Eid were of extreme significance for preventing the spread of the pandemic.
