Pakistan Football Federation VP Sardar Naveed Haider resigns

In a big blow to Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Engineer Ashfaq Group, PFF Vice-President Sardar Naveed Haider and President of Punjab Football Association has resigned from all football positions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

Sardar Naveed Alam said, “I have resigned from all the posts of football but my association with football will continue. It is time to give job opportunities to new and fresh people.”

He pinned his hopes that soon the ban on PFF will be lifted. Sardar Naveed is also a member of the PFF Congress and PFF Executive Committee.

As per reports, desperate footballers earlier pleaded with the warring factions in Pakistan’s football federation to put players and supporters’ interests ahead of their egos.
